Microfestival è un festival itinerante d’arte performativa. Una tournée che racconta e dà voce ai territori del paesaggio montano di confine. 

Microfestival cerca la sua identità nelle dimensioni ridotte dei centri storici montani, nell’individuazione di scenari micro urbani quali la piazza di un paesino, il sagrato o il bar sport.

Un Ape-car e una “carovana” di artisti di diverse discipline raggiungono piccolissimi paesi, soprattutto montani: luoghi ai margini dove più che in altre aree la multiculturalità ha giocato e gioca un ruolo identitario fondamentale, zone di frontiera, di passaggio e di rifugio, superfici di contatto fra identità culturali e linguistiche differenti.

Il festival è preceduto da una residenza artistica dove la pratica dell’ascolto del territorio e la partecipazione dei suoi abitanti ribalta il classico rapporto spettatore/attore. Al termine della residenza gli artisti mettono in scena piccole e grandi performance nelle strade del paese, sono pezzi di vita del paese stesso con le storie, i ricordi, i sogni dei suoi abitanti. Il festival si conclude con una cena collettiva e una jam-session musicale capace di accendere la festa, scovare talenti nascosti, coinvolgere gli abitanti di tutte le età.

Microfestival is an itinerant performative art festival. A tour that tells and gives voice to the territories of the border mountain landscape. 

Microfestival seeks its identity in the small size of the historical mountain centres, in the identification of micro urban scenarios such as a village square, a churchyard or a bar. An Ape Piaggio and a group of artists from different disciplines reach very small villages: places on the fringes where, more than in other areas, multiculturality has played and continues to play a fundamental identity role, border areas, transit and refuge areas, surfaces of contact between different cultural and linguistic identities. The festival is preceded by an artistic residence where the practice of listening to the territory and the participation of its inhabitants overturns the classic spectator/actor relationship. At the end of the residency the artists stage small and big performances in the streets of the village, pieces of life of the village itself that contain stories, memories and dreams of its inhabitants. The festival ends with a collective dinner and a musical jam-session able to light up the party, find hidden talents, involve inhabitants of all ages.
